While at PAX East this past weekend, I got to sit down with Gabriel Barboza, creator of a card game that is right up our alley, Cinelinx. The basic elevator pitch is “dominoes with movies” and the goal is to link cards together through up to 3 degrees of separation, like say, The Terminator to Arnold. Cinelinx was featured in the PAX East Indie Megabooth tabletop area this year and its available on Amazon right now after a successful Kickstarter campaign last year. It’s also coming to mobile platforms sometime this year and I got the details on that from Gabriel along with where the idea for the game came from, how Kevin Bacon almost broke the game and much more.
